Our goal is to help provide the Lismore local government area with quality local news, sport and community information.
Regional local news has changed over the last five years. Printing a local newspaper is not sustainable, with costs prohibitive, and the number of papers purchased or consumed is reducing each year because people are getting their news and information digitally.
We launched our first regional app in Lismore in November 2017. Since then, we have learned what it takes to build a successful and sustainable local news publication.
We have made mistakes in our journey to get to this point, including operating other local news apps in other regional towns. The lessons we learned, we are happy to pass on, so regional NSW has strong local news publications delivered on a daily basis.
Passionate people who love their town or city can make a significant difference in their community through scrutinising all levels of government, starting with the local council, promoting community events and supporting new businesses.
